We're seeking a project lead ready to bridge the gap between engineering and business requirements, working closely with our customers and engineering teams. In your role, you'll be responsible to collect and organize customer needs and use them to define roadmaps and strategies together with tech leads and their engineering teams. You will also need to become deeply familiar with customer expectations, users, their needs and perspectives, incorporating the information into future development of products and projects.
Our ideal candidate enjoys a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts with an open mind and eagerness to acquire new skills. Are you creative, eager to learn and prioritize quality in all of your work? Great, we want to meet you!
You’ll be guiding great engineering teams to success. Specifically, you will encounter challenges such as:
Gather and keep track of customer needs
Plan future development roadmaps given feedback both from stakeholders and engineers
Making sure Backticks’ deliverables meet the customers expectations
Adapt roadmaps to changing requirements while making sure both stakeholders and Backtick engineers are onboard with the changes
We believe in the importance of personal development and actively work to ensure our coworkers get the tools they need. It’s not essential that you know everything, we’ll do our best to help you on your way! You probably have a master’s degree in engineering or management. In addition, you have:
Empathy and a humble attitude
An eagerness to make things better
Desire to work on projects aiding our planet and society through clever use of technology
Great communications skills
It’s not expected that you have expertise across all listed areas, but these are some of the things we work with on a daily basis:
Overarching understanding of modern technical systems
Understanding of information flows between users, API's and third party services
Jira, Trello or similar
Slide deck creation
Basic Figma (or similar) skills
